Overview.

During my junior year of college, I was privileged to be a part of the internal communications team of the student-run ad agency Heelprint. It was a unique experience as it was my first opportunity to do strategic communications to build the brand image of an ad agency.

My primary goals were growing Heelprint’s following on social media, increasing inter-team communication and updating Heelprint’s branding.

I also was lead designer on Heelprint’s T-Shirt Contest.

Heelprint T-Shirt Contest

Goal: Generate brand unity and engagement by introducing a company t-shirt for members

Idea: Post multiple designs and have followers vote on which they would prefer

Product: I designed 3 t-shirts following different styles and ideas for the competition and posted them on Instagram for the final vote

Result: The “Are You Communicating” design was chosen, and Heelprint saw a 28% increase in engagement during the contest

Footnotes Newsletter

Goal: Distribute agency wide information in a concise and consistent manner that also boosted engagement

Idea: Hold challenges on each edition of the newsletter with the opportunity to win prizes to boost readership

Product: We introduced various games on the newsletter from crosswords to scavenger hunts, and participants submitted answers through the company Instagram

Result: After the introduction of Footnotes, we saw a 17% growth in Instagram follows and roughly 9% of followers submitted answers each month
